Things To Pack For Umrah

Performing Umrah is one of the biggest wishes of Muslims around the world as each one of them dream of travelling to the holy land – Mecca and Madina – at least once in their lifetime.

Muslims pre plan their trips, make arrangements accordingly, take classes, and the entire process is an experience that one cannot describe in words.

Karachiites, being the excited ones, always take this experience to a next level. For them going for Umrah is a whole new experience, from the moment they decide to search for Umrah packages in Karachi and then finalizing everything is just the next level.

But despite all the planning, they always make mistakes while packing their bags before leaving, they either carry extra luggage filled with unnecessary items or leave some of the important items.

When you search for Umrah packages in Karachi, you will be helped with the entire travelling procedure but the package wouldn’t tell you what to carry and what not to carry. Hence, we present to you a checklist which will help you pack your bags before leaving a journey that will stay in your heart forever.

The first and foremost thing that you need to pack is two sets of Ihram – particular clothing that Muslims wear while performing rituals of Umrah and Hajj – as without that you won’t be allowed to perform Umrah. It is always better to have an extra pair in case of an emergency.|

Second import item is towels (particularly small hand towels) if the weather is hot it is easier for one to use his/her personal soaked hand towel to cover their heads to keep themselves fresh.

While travelling always remember to check the weather, if it is too hot keep an umbrella with you to protect yourself from the blazing sun, but make sure you carry a lightweight umbrella rather than a heavy one.

The entire ritual of Umrah demands a lot of physical energy as people need to cover distances while walking from one place to another, hence it is very important to have a comfortable pair of slippers and shoes that can provide comfort and also fulfils the requirement of footwear.

Carrying essentials is a must, cleanliness is always emphasized in Islam, so it is always recommended to carry your own toothbrush, and other necessary toiletries including unscented face wash, hand wash, shampoo, etc as some hotels do not provide everything.

It is also advised that while going for Umrah one should carry itar (also called attar) as people perform Tawa’af in close proximity especially if you are going during a peak season (for instance Ramadan)
Purchase a waist pouch or a neck pouch so that you can keep all your important stuff in that and carry that along with you all the time.

Make sure you keep a power bank, mobile charger, earphones, laptop charger (in case you are taking your laptop along with you) to avoid trouble after reaching there.

While packing ensure that you have all your documents; passport, visa, tickets, hotel vouchers, ID card etc. To avoid any mishap it is better if you keep photocopies of these documents as well.

People usually skip basic medicines as they feel that in case of emergency they can purchase from there, however, it is better to carry some of the basic medicines, cough syrup, Panadol, Ponstan, etc with you because Karchiites are not used to the medicines available there, the quality differs and sometimes it does not suit people.

While keeping all these essentials, do not forget to keep a portable, pocket size Quran, Tasbeeh, some dua books with you.

Before leaving it is recommended that you convert currency and keep Riyals with you so that you have at least some cash in hand once you land there.

Knowing yourself you should also ensure that you keep precautionary products if you have any allergy or some other issues, for example, face masks, sanitizer, any particular medicine, etc.

If you feel the weather there is cold, carry warm clothing with you, jackets, sweater, gloves, head caps along with you

It is also recommended that you carry your nail cutter, scissors, sewing needle and a thread with you.
The above mentioned items are some of the basic things that people forget carrying with them,
necessities differ but the above-mentioned things are general things that everybody should have while going for Umrah. There is always an option of purchasing things from there as well, but still, it is better because Umrah is a beautiful experience that one should mesmerize hence, to avoid any uncertain situation it is better that you carry all the above-mentioned things with you.

Another very important tip is that while finalizing a package make sure you discuss everything beforehand, Umrah packages in Karachi are reasonable in price but it is still recommended that one should clearly ask for all the details before making the final move.
